2020 Application Error 3004

 

Symptoms

The user receives the following 2020 Application message:

"Error 3004; write to file failed."

 

Cause

This is a 2020 error. It appears to be occurring with 8.1 and probably only with SP 3.

The Application Integration or the correct version of it, is not installed.

 

 

One possible indication is the missing "Application Integration" on the report list:

 

It should look like this:

 

  

Resolution

Download and install the correct Application Integration version from http://www.2020.net

The version must match the version in your 2020 Help/About.

 

 

Make sure that after you install the Application Integration, you set the option properly.
