Profile of Scott Syme, B.C.S. Honors

Senior Software Architect

A keen interest in computers led Scott to achieve an honors degree in Computer Science from Carleton University, Ottawa. To complement this degree Scott also received a minor in Business.

Having worked in the Lumber and Building Materials industry for 7 years Scott has brought a wealth of real-life experience to the development of software. This includes retail experience in windows, doors, deck design, and kitchen design as well as practical experience using point-of-sale, inventory and purchasing systems.

Scott’s involvement in the software development life cycle is right from the start with project conception and steering to completion with implementation and support.

In keeping with the continually evolving software industry Scott has brought several emerging technologies to Saberis’ software solutions such as XML and more recently Web Services.

With over 10 years of software development experience combined with the work experience in the Lumber and Building Materials industry, Scott’s knowledge is invaluable in developing software for this industry.
